Regular prayer activities of the ministry includes a Holy Hour in the Adoration Chapel at individual's time chosen as well as participation in the weekly St. Joseph Devotion held on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. in front of the St. Joseph’s statue in the front of the church.
As elections are getting closer, it’s recommended to become informed on the issues. One good guide is from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith: "Doctrinal Note on some questions regarding the participation of Catholics in political life, ” found on
www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20021124_politica_en. html.
If you want a copy of the document, please contact Charitt.
* Important Note:
Our particular prayer concern at this time pertains to the issues of the dignity of life, marriage and the family. Prayer needs to be partnered with action. It is extremely critical, therefore, to vote, and to cast our votes for candidates who will uphold our values in all branches of government. Please especially consider that the next President may possibly be appointing Supreme Court Justices during his term(s). Also remember the role and influence that Senators and Congressmen exercise in their offices.
Let the Holy Spirit be our Guide and, as we celebrate the Pauline Year, let us allow St. Paul to inspire us to action for Jesus.
Any prayers, articles, or information pertaining to peace and justice issues/activities will be distributed by Email. PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS:
![]()
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
